Addressing the relocation needs of an older adult can present many challenges for family members. I currently have a 91 year old grandmother who is refusing to leave her very large condo. I see all of the items that she has accumulated throughout her life, and that she would not easily part with. I also see the challenges of conflicting ideas on approaching the situation, from various well-meaning family members. I can most certainly see the benefits of hiring a neutral professional to assist through any necessary living transitions. Below is a great article from REALTOR Magazine that explores some of the common questions asked by those considering a downsizing move for any older adult.
